More and more web sites require accounts nowadays. You can lose a lot of time filling in forms, typing and retyping passwords and so on. Each time you create an account, you may have to memorize a new user name or password and it keeps getting harder to remember so much information. Sticky Password offers an efficient way to organize your accounts. You can add them to its database directly from the browser, due to a plugin it installs and you can also use it to automatically fill in the forms when creating a new account.

Besides the Pro version, you can also get a free one. Downloading should not take too long due to the small size of the setup package. When installing it on your computer, you will also have to specify one or all your browsers in order to install a plugin. Additional configurations must be made when running the program for the first time, but nothing too complicated.

The lightweight interface features a tree structure with three main categories: accounts, secure memos and identities. A new item can be added in one of these categories by clicking an add button and selecting an item type (account, memo or identity). When adding a new account, a wizard will guide you through some simple steps. First, you will have to choose between creating a web or an application account. The next step is specifying the path of the application or the URL of the web site and finally, you can type your login name and password. The account will be added as an entry in the tree structure and you can directly log into that account by clicking an icon or a hyperlink next to the entry. An easier way to add an account is to simply sign into that account from your browser. Right after you click the log in option, the software will immediately prompt you to add that account to its database.

Adding a secure memo involves using a simple looking text editor. It will show up as an entry in the tree structure, and clicking its hyperlink will display the memo's contents as a popup in the lower right corner of the screen. This way you can access important information a lot faster.

Creating an identity involves filling in a list of personal details, like you would find when creating an online account. The list covers any information type someone may ask of you when creating an account. So the next time you will have to fill in a sign up sheet, you can click a button, added on the browser's interface by Sticky Password, go to "Identities", click on your saved identity and your information will be automatically inserted in the sign up form. The software is compatible with most of the popular browsers out there, including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera and more.

Pros

Saving an account or logging into it can all be done automatically. Furthermore, you can save your personal information which you can later add to sign up forms with a few clicks. The software is lightweight when it comes to system requirements, it contains no spyware or malware and it's free.

Cons

The free version lets you save a maximum of 15 accounts. Sticky Password can spare you a lot of typing. With a few clicks, you can sign into an account, save it, or fill in sign up forms.
